I went back home for the long weekend for Thanksgiving break, and while I wasn't able to hike Rattlesnake Ridge with Alex's friends (because of my fear of being an extra wheel), I did take a walk on a local trail with my family and our German Shepherd, Kenji.
I had only walked with him one other time, and that was in the neighborhood along a sidewalk. And this time around, he was so much more well-behaved. While he's still a monster at home (I still have faint scars from when he was teething!), I can't help but feel proud that he's gotten so much calmer. It's strange to see that this puppy has gotten so gigantic in such a short amount of time. Last time I checked, we were still chasing him around with a potty pad, hoping he wouldn't do his business underneath the Christmas tree.
