New year, new me! Just kidding. I was never one to stick to any resolutions whether they were as simple as "stop rolling your eyes" or as drastic as "exercise every day." While I no longer make goals at the start of every year, I have been working on a couple ever since school started. There were a
lot of goals to be made at the beginning of this previous school year:
make friends, get good grades, keep posting on this blog, wear better clothes, blah blah blah. And I may not have been fully successful in all of them this previous quarter, so this next one will hopefully turn out a little better... While I'm not making any drastic changes to my life, there are still slight modifications I want to make.
-GOAL 1: CAKEPOTATO-
I've been slowly editing the theme of this blog the past three months; as opposed to making a completely different theme and making all the changes at once, I've been switching up one area of the blog at a time. I've edited the sidebar a bit (though I barely made any changes), and hopefully it'll be good for a while.
And I can't call this a full goal without saying that I'm going to be trying to improve the quality of my posts. I'm satisfied with a good number of my 2015 entries, but I've also been a little inconsistent with photo quality.
-GOAL 2: GET IN SHAPE-
Okay, so maybe "exercise every day" was a little too ambitious (sorry, 2013), but since halfway through fall quarter, I've been going on a run for at least once a week. I don't have the most consistent workout schedule as last week I ended up working out 4 times, and only twice the week before. But some exercise is better than none at all. I guess these daily burgers helped me realize that I should be more mindful of how I take care of my body.
-GOAL 3: STUDY HARD(ER)-
I didn't start college thinking it was going to be a breeze, but it did surprise me when I found out that our class GPA would be based on a total of 2 tests and a couple of assignments. As diligently as I worked on those assignments, it all boiled down to those test scores. It took a whole quarter for me to realize that what worked in high school would not work here. Looks like I'll have to find a different method of studying to get the grades I want!
