FAVORITE INSTAGRAMS...

-SEEKING INSPIRATION-

These days, Facebook just doesn't do it for me anymore. Besides the occasional interesting post from an old pal or two, there doesn't seem to be much on that site besides click bait. Plus, with my growing passion for photography, I've been getting more and more into Instagram! I've been on that platform for a while, but for a year now, I've been increasingly more aware of the composition of my posts. It was really at the beginning of 2015 that I started caring about what my posts looked like, and I like to think that I've learned a thing or two about photo composition since! Of course, with school and busy family schedules, I don't have too much time to post, but luckily my favorite Instagram accounts do. If I listed all my favorite accounts, this list would go on forever, so I'll have to keep it to just a few.

Here are 6 Instagram accounts that I run to for inspiration...

Only the cutest couple ever, newdarlings is probably one of the most traditional "hipster-looking" couple I follow (read: blunt bangs and beard). But their eye for interior design and fashion with basic but beautiful pieces, I can't help but fall in love with their Instagram. These two cover everything from beauty to lifestyle to clothing, so definitely give them a look.

There are so many reasons why I love Jessy, but her photography and portraits all have something uniquely different about them. These aren't your traditional symmetrical photos of people. They're quirky, they're cute, and the color scheme is one I strive after. How she finds such photogenic people and colorful walls in Vermont, I don't know. But one thing's for sure: these vintage-style pictures have that film-like vibe that makes you want to jump straight into the screen.

Denim and leather rule this account, and the darker tones of coffee and pastries set it apart from all the other accounts that I follow with their primary focus on lighter colors. JulesDenby styles black and blue wonderfully, and the character-filled captions tie it all together.

I was never one for super-social events, but looking at these snaps make me want to throw a party just so I could put this party inspo to use. You could find cookies and cupcakes and all sorts of sweet things, all with good taste and bright colors. If I ever throw a party, I know where I'm looking for ideas!

TaraMilkTea is the Instagram I hope to run one day, full of food and adventure. The world at her fingertips, Tara works with creative design, and her travel snaps are some of the most beautiful I've seen. It seems that she's been nearly everywhere! This account speaks for itself, so give it a peek.

My favorite flat-layout style Insta, ThePinkDiary is the master of laying out everyday objects in such the daintiest way. Sharon's mysterious and stylish, and I could only hope for my layouts to look this good one day. She's got makeup, clothing, hats, sunglasses, flowers, and fruit, all adding up to make her photo style seem so effortless.
