2016, HERE WE GO!

Happy New Year, everybody! I hope you've all had a wonderful holiday break full of food, fireworks, Christmas music, and hot chocolate. We've got another exciting year ahead of us full of mystery and surprises. And while it seems to be a brand new opportunity for us to begin anew, I can't just ignore the rollercoaster that was 2015. That year was busy. There was so much that happened that I can't possibly believe it all occurred in under a year. Here's a quick recap split into a couple topics, as told by never-posted iPhone photos and a couple of my Instagram posts...

FOOD

Let's talk about the most important thing first. 2015 was a great year for food as I was able to try so many new dishes and restaurants all around the Seattle area. When I moved into the University dorms, it was so easy to explore the urban food setting (on a student budget, of course) around the area and try foods I never would have tried had I been commuting.

I can proudly say that I've eaten at Le Pichet, a small fancy French restaurant by Pike Place, Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream, Ugly Mug Cafe, Fogo de Chao (thank you, Portland!!!), a couple delicious food trucks, and various other places around University Avenue that provide quality food for good prices.

CLOTHES + BEAUTY

While I succeeded in expanding my wardrobe by a little, I wouldn't exactly say I'm qualified to give any fashion advice yet. I had decided towards the end of 2015 to start investing in more quality clothes that I could match with more outfits, as well as better quality makeup that would last me longer and would be better for my skin. This hadn't been too consistent this past year, so I'll make it a goal for 2016 to take more notice of what I'm wearing and putting on my face.

... AND A WHOLE LOT OF EVENTS

So many milestones happened during 2015. While they sure made the year seem more hectic, I'm glad that they happened. Everybody says that you learn from your experiences, your mistakes, and the people you meet, and I'm incredibly grateful to have support from people around me.

In this past year alone, I went to my first prom, saw my cousin for the first time in 10 years, graduated high school, got my first real job, lost my car to an accident, started college, and managed to snag a boyfriend along the way. I didn't get to post about too many of these on the blog, but with a total of 30 posts, I'm impressed that I was even able to keep this up. I'm hoping to post quite a bit more for the new year, but I'll talk about my 'resolutions' in another post, so keep your eyes peeled for that one!
Here's to 2016!
