PIKE FOOD, REVISITED

PIROSHKY, I LOVE YOU

Nothing quite beats a warm beef and cheese piroshky while sitting in a park overlooking the waterfront. I probably would've eaten five more if I hadn't eaten such a large breakfast earlier in the day...  Alex and I had originally planned on going hiking on Wednesday, but our friends cancelled on us at the last minute, so we had to come up with something else to do with our day. And being ourselves, we chose to adventure around the city and eat delicious food while we were at it.

After walking around Seattle for a couple hours, we decided to stop by Pike Place Market (taking the long route, because Alex couldn't admit he didn't know where we were going) and swing by our favorite Russian bakery, grabbing smoothies along the way.

We sat at the small park beside the market where there were birds and other people just soaking up the sun. As we sipped on the fresh-fruit smoothies, we talked about college and the new things ahead of us this year. I'm glad that I've figured out how to surround myself with such positive people who are optimistic about life and excited for the future.
