-HAPPY BIRTHDAY-
It was Anton's birthday earlier this month, so we went out to Salt and Iron for a celebratory brunch (or breakfast? It was 9:30). It's located in Edmonds, and I have no idea how to parallel park, so I had to park a block away, and when I literally ran into the restaurant (running late of course), I instantly noticed how bright and clean the place looked. And walking over to our table near a large window, I was even more impressed at how nice the lighting looked on a cloudy day.
I ordered a Corned Beef Hash and some coffee, and I wasn't expecting much from the dish, but they actually made corned beef look appetizing! Topped off with poached eggs and hollandaise, I was surprised at how they made it look like a fancy meal.
Downtown Edmonds is such a quaint little area that I don't take advantage of nearly as much as I should, so I'll be sure to take more photos when I'm in the area next time! Overall, it was a really nice place to eat and I'm glad Anton chose it to have his birthday brunch. Here's to being another year older!
