NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

I'm not one for New Year's resolutions, but surprisingly enough I made three of them last year AND took them seriously, the first time since 2011. I tried to focus on my blog, exercises, and study harder, and with hard work and lots of stressful days, I did it!

2015 RESOLUTIONS

I managed to post 1.5 times as much in 2016 than the previous year, I consistently worked out twice a week (until October but that's still 10 months), and finally got a decent GPA this past autumn quarter. It was definitely a difficult, stressful year trying to juggle adjusting to school and work and friends and family, but I made it!!

I was never one to make a huge promise/resolution to myself in an effort to have a "new beginning", so I thought that making resolutions for the new year was a whole bunch of bologna. But seeing as how I can consider 2016 a relative success, I'm hopeful for the upcoming year. I came up with new goals that could better my life and I could hopefully stick to for 2017:

1. POST MORE ON INSTAGRAM

I know most people would want to shy away from social media as a goal, but since I sort of faded away from Twitter + Instagram, I'd really like to get back to it. I love taking everyday photos with my phone and just casually putting it up without a care. Lately, though, I've been concerned about my posts being "pretty" enough or visually pleasing, and I lost all fun in posting online. As a resolution, I want to post more and care less.

2. MAINTAIN DECENT GRADES

Now that I can look at my grades without crying, I'd very much like to keep it that way.

3. GET INTO MY MAJOR

When I applied to UW, I didn't know there'd be another application process for my major. Now that sophomore year is almost halfway done, the time has come for me to apply for HCDE (yikes), and I don't really have a backup plan.. so yeah.

4. START WORKING OUT AGAIN

And maybe lay off the potato chips. I just got too busy to work out since school started, but I think 10 weeks + a holiday vacation is enough time for a "break" and it's time for me to get back up on that treadmill.

5. CONTINUE POSTING ON CAKEPOTATO

I love posting on this blog, and I love taking photos. Even if I just talk about mundane things, I think it's fun to write about my life in a casual way and be able to look back and reflect on the past year. I want to post this upcoming year as much as I did in 2016 (or more? Or is that too ambitious?).
