I made a short "summer to-do list" back in June, but with full-time work, I found that it was difficult to keep up with the long list of things I wanted to accomplish this season. Still, I was determined to cross something off before September. So last week, Jin and I met up at the UW Water Activities Center, rented a canoe, and set out for Lake Washington!
We went a bit later in the day because I had work, but the weather could not have been more perfect. It was fairly cloudy, so it wasn't too hot, and the lake wasn't blinding with the sun's reflection. With calm waters and not too many people, the canoeing experience wasn't half bad...
Although I spent more time taking pictures than rowing (oops) and accidentally splashed more water into the canoe than I care to admit (another oops), it was just so calming to be on the water and to be able to admire the city's skyline as the sun set.
